What happened to creating levels and dimension in the home?? The book A Pattern Language delves into the psychological, beneficial effects these spaces have on our subconscious. Side note, I’ll say it - raising a kitchen counter to bar height hides the dirty dish scene and barstools rather than counter stools brings the sitting guest to eye level of whoever is cooking. A much better experience in my opinion and doesn’t have to look outdated (promise).
